Jon, Jim, and Matthew,

It is a fact of life that people in different communities
tend to use the same words in different ways.

Since I worked at IBM for many years, I encountered the
term "data model" much more frequently in my daily work
than the term "model" in Tarski's sense.

I was never quite happy with it, but I learned to live
with it.
