It laughs at the sounds of the mock ocean's roar
In the sleepy hollow places of my conches's nest.
And I cannot see the wind that drives your waves,
Or the spirit that moves on their face and under,
Nor can I form any image at all, none that lasts,
None that stays the press of the next inundation.
