Jim,
I understand your position, and I can imagine the amount of
grief that you have had to endure over just plain silliness.
But you probably cannot imagine how much off-list harrassment
I have gotten from people who do not really have anything to
say about anything, but just seem to be worried that somebody
else might. And this started from my first day on the list,
about totally trivial matters, so I know that there is not
necessarily anything that I can do to please some people.
Thus, it has become necessary to document people's acts
in public. I am content to work on long-range issues,
and that is what I have been pursuing on the Ontology
list. I was looking forward to doing some work that
would be more productive with my collaborators there.
Wouldn't it be luverly ...

until such time as everybody settles on a standard name.
