SUO: 3d-4d example

Somewhere I have lost track of an example for the distinction between 3d and 4d representations that appeared on this list. Would some kind soul please point me to the message or provide another example? I have been discussing the nature of this distinction with several colleagues and clarifying the distinction is more difficult than expected. So, I am trying to locate examples for which the same or nearly the same situation is represented in both manners - ignoring the difficulty created by trying to represent different perspectives of the real world as the same situation. Our discussions are related to work in the definition of modeling constructs in enterprise architectural frameworks for which ontologies might form a structural basis.
