SUO: Reality & Representation, Rock & Roll

To My Dedicatedly Earnest Fellow Persuonts Of That
"Recurrently Occasional Continuous Knowing" (ROCK):

It keeps occurring to me, on an intermittent but continuing basis,
that I have heard not a few of these lines before, by that I mean
that several of the apparently most tangled issues that are being
re-currently addressed along many threads of perduring discussion
in this forum are reminiscent, in a genuinely resurgent skein but
still a slightly transmuted tinge, of topics that constituted the
daily toile, in large measure, of 19th & 20th Century mathematics,
although, to be fair and honest, most of these were cleared up in
all of the routine settings at the last "Turn of Centuries" (TOC),
enough, at least, that the facile but tentative intuitions or the
hard-won but more trustworthy insights that developed out of this
work were ready to be applied to real-world problems, for example,
when Poincaré and Einstein and others employed them to set up the
rudimentary conceptual frameworks that would be needed to grapple
with the more physical forms of relativistic invariance in nature.

In that spirit, I am going to try to isolate these matters from
the manners of conversation and the matrices of discussion that
currently emded them, to see if we can highlight their features
more clearly and to see if we can discern the differences among
their more incidental attributes and their more persistent ways
of being in our way.

But First I Need to Catch My Breath,

Jon Awbrey
