Pat,
I realized that my last message may have unintentionally sounded a bit
dismissive. My hope is that you'll be able to suspend judgement for a
while about the likelihood of ultimate success of SUO or even what that
success might be and continue to help us with the practical issues that we
face. Your comments on specific issues in temporal ontology and mereology
have already provided considerable food for thought and your further
comment and reference to existing work will be invaluable.
