Re: D7 - Which languages are better than OWL?
Given Gian's last answer, I propose the following change in the
semi-formal summary of the discussion. If this change is ok for
everyone, I invite the deepening of other statements related to
the advantages or disadvantages of OWL or RDF+OWL or RDF+OWL/XML
w.r.t. other languages.
The following statement and the other statements related to binary relations
"no W3C_language is a good_general_KRL"
argument: - "no W3C_language is a KRL_allowing_n-ary_relations" (gpZarri)
- "a good_general_KRL should be a KRL_allowing_n-ary_relations" (gpZarri);
are replaced by
"no W3C_language is a good_general_KRL"
argument:
- "no W3C_language is encouraging the
representation_and_management_of_an_n-ary_situation_as_a_block"(gpZarri)
- ("a good_general_KRL should be encouraging the
representation_and_management_of_an_n-ary_situation_as_a_block"
argument: "the representation_and_management_of_an_n-ary_situation_as_a_block
is necessary for a precise_knowledge_representation_and_management"
(gpZarri),
specialization: "a good_general_KRL should be encouraging the
representation_and_management_of_an_n-ary_situation_as_a_block
by encouraging the use of contexts (meta-statements) or
allowing the use of n-ary relations defined with respect
to binary relations"(pm)
)(gpZarri);
