Brainstorm

1.  How about a prototype test or two?
One test would a) design an ontology to contain and interrelate
[architecture, measures of effectiveness, context, stucture, content, and
behavior] applicable to system, and to a subclass of system called
enterprise, then b) identify the upper ontology that bases both examples and
enables interrelating them to other domain ontologies.

This significance and urgency of said ontology is clearly indicated by the
confusion and conflict evident in ISO standards, IEEE standards, e.g., 1471,
the OMG publications and the SUO's own reference material, i.e.,
http://suo.ieee.org/IFF/

2. How about a technology-free upper ontology.
It seems to me that the SUO artifacts to date are structured to be procesable with stored
program computers.  To the degree that such structure inhibits processing
with pattern recognition engines or omits features because of the combinatorial explosion problem it is a disservice to future users.

3. How about choosing a way of computing the semantic distance between any two ontologies and identifying the features of each that cause the distance(s).
