Re: Brainstorming Session

Why not a debate?

Proposed:
All postings to the Ontology list-server should be stated in the terms of general systems.

My take on GS vocabulary is:
The terminology includes the term system, terms contained in various definitions of system (e.g., element, relationship), variants and near synonyms of the term system (e.g., mechanism  process), terms immediately derivable from system synonyms, and any other term that is directly and immediately derivable from the previously indicated terms.

I'll compile the ideas and we'll start discussions next week.

Some suggestions:

1) What about using a (semantic) wiki in addition to the mailing list?
   Within the Ontolog wiki (http://ontolog.cim3.net/cgi-bin/wiki.pl/)?
   Another more semantically structured wiki?

2) What about a discussion on the advantages/inconvenients of
   two knowledge/ontology sharing methods:
   - independently authoring and publishing (small) ontologies
   - allowing the collaborative update of a (large) ontology

3) What about a discussion on best lexical guidelines for naming
   concepts and relations?
