Re: Better desktop search engine
Rich,
Sounds good. What sold me is the following answer
on the FAQ page:
> Find anything in any of over 200 different file

> PhotoShop, etc.
The idea of indexing Outlook files seems worthless,
since I can't imagine any sane person using that
format. But PDF, HTML, ZIP, and others are important.
For email, by the way, I recommend Thunderbird, which
is the Mozilla mail spin off that makes an excellent
companion to Firebird. Those are the two applications
I use more than anything else (except for my trusty
old ASCII editor, which I use for generating HTML).
I also use OpenOffice for converting HTML to PDF, but
the OpenOffice GUI is horrible -- identical to MS Word.
