What We Can Learn from Robots ... About Intelligence



BTW, can Professor Minsky at MIT tell us what definition scientifically
inclined and measurement oriented psychologists use for INTELLIGENCE?
Frankly who cares about what he vaguely imagines "common sense" to be? We
are talking science here so let's spell out what we want a robot to do to
be called intelligent. If we take the homo sapiens definition of
intelligence, we might have the proper respect to ask the profession which
has worked assiduously on this problem since the late 1800's.

Presumably Minsky invokes the definition of human intelligence when he
talks about artificial intelligence. How about: human intelligence is
"that which is measured by intelligence tests"?

Indeed does anybody at MIT know what intelligence is?
