Thanks, and the crazy thing is, it seems the only thing stopping us from
implementing language as a subjective model of reality has been the belief
that it should present an objective model of reality!
As far as I can make out Chomsky dumped post-Bloomfieldian structuralism
because he was able to show it predicted language structure was subjective
(the definition of a phoneme varied according to context.)
Can anyone fill me in on Chomsky's problem with contrastive discovery
procedures?
