I haven't time to respond in full to John and Frederick's comments
regarding the Semantic Web, but I feel compelled to point out that there
seem to be more than one definition of "Semantic Web" around these
parts. When I suggested it was 80% done I had something like the
following definition in mind:
"The Semantic Web is an extension of the current web in which
information is given well-defined meaning, better enabling computers and
people to work in cooperation." -- Tim Berners-Lee
The identifiers are in place, the languages have been developed and
tools are springing up all over the place. This extension is well on
it's way.
