Sounds like John got infected by the latest virus, or at least his
email address was used by the virus.
Don't open any zip file attachments if you're on Windows if they
require a password. These are designed to elude virus detection
software. The original message (supposedly from John Sowa) contained
the latest virus (I'm on linux and am not in any danger, and in
fact opened the zip to look at the virus in more detail, whose
file name is 'hinmckcw.exe'.)
