sorry, I evidently need to clarify. I do not find
it an "interesting test of ... tools" (which it probably
would be: almost *any* attempt to use
half the things discussed
on this list would be a useful test at this stage...);
what I find 'interesting' is to see if this is the kind
of direction the majority members of the SUO list
find reasonable.

Within the US there are certain boundary conditions
that make certain kinds of funding difficult to do without.
That does not apply outside of the US: and I relate the
suggestions here to the relevant parts of the discussion
concerning the formation of the DAML-space list.

Standard Upper Ontology suggests something with wider
application and interest to just those in the US, although
from the suggestions discussed, sometimes it is difficult
to remember this.

Not only is the suggested usage military, it is not even
available apart from behind secure firewalls, and may not even
have a security status that allows one to see it.
