Yes, that is exactly what I thought you meant,
though I would more frequently use the term
"information agent" (IA) in order to stress
its active character. However, there is
yet another level of systematic analysis
that can be carried out with respect to
IA's, namely, to realize that an IA is
really what is technically gnoment as
a "hypostatic abstraction" (HA), else
a "hypostatic entity" (HE), with the
possible exception that the use of
"HE" might be taken as blasphemous
or sexist, or both, so I avoid it.
As it happens, we have entertained a distributed series of discussions
on the very topic of HA, alias "personification", alias "reification",
alias "subjectification", its aliases are legion, and by distributed
of course to say just a bit scattered in mind-space-time, all three
or one, as the case may be. I will append the last subseries that
