Jim,

With regard to:

> generate complaints.

Your first statement above represents your interpretation of an issue
under dispute between equal parties. Moreover, it is insufficient
reason for you to intervene in the dispute in question. It is
even more improper to intervene in a manner that decides the
issue before all sides are heard, as you have already done,
prejudicially biasing the question beyond all correction.

> And as in the past, he refuses to work with
> me to arrive at an acceptable solution.

That second statement is a false statement.

> I feel it is time for me to take further action,

Real consensus, as opposed to nominal consensus, is Normally,
at least, according to Democratic Norms, assessed by a vote.

Please note that I do not recommend this course of action,
not yet, as I have already agreed to help you resolve what
you see as a problem by other means, under conditions that
I believe fair-minded people can recognize are necessary
for achieving a real solution, as opposed to a nominal
solution, in other words, one that is not likely to
withstand either examination or the test of time.

Yes, I feel that Jon should be allowed to exercise his own judgment
in this matter, though I know that he would prefer his contributions
to this Group to be judged by the quality and dedication of his more
recent efforts.

Yes, I object to your taking this stance,
and I will be happy to give my reasons
in any detail that you require.

Jon Awbrey
