SUO: Automatically generated ontologies

I found this passage:

"The Dictionary Parsing Project is parsing definitions from 
the 1913 Webster's (see below) to create ontologies and 
semantic networks automatically. This technology is freely 
available at CL Research and can be used to create ontologies 
and semantic networks from dictionary definitions, usually 
in less than a week."

along with the proper URLs to the cited places, at:

These free tools might be useful in extracting ontologies
from dictionaries.  Of course, they would probably be
axiom free if its that easy, but still it could give us
a start on common English (Turkish, ...) ontologies at
least at the conversational level.
