Re: SUO: Re: Standard Upper Ontology Procedure Topics
Murray,
About two years ago, I had suggested that we try using better
software than an email archive for organizing the SUO list.
There was some interest in the idea, but nobody wanted to take
charge, install the software, and maintain it for the group.

I agree that a wiki of some sort would be much better than Jon's
little messages that provide headers for a thread in SUO archive.
I have not found the current archive to be a user-friendly way
of organizing collaborative development.
I have found Google to be a much better way of finding things
in the SUO archive than the built-in mechanisms it provides.
When I want to find something in it, I type SUO into Google
plus a couple of other names or keywords.
Jon seems to find his technique useful, but I think that with
the existing software, it is a lost cause for most of us.
Has anybody other than Jon found his technique useful?
Murray, do you know of any simple wiki software that could be
set up, managed, and used with a minimum of effort? Unless
the effort is very minimal, I doubt that people will use it.
