But it is *not* an IFF motion. IFF has already been
approved as a candidate project. The joint motion
is just as much a SUMO motion or an OpenCyc motion as
it is an IFF motion.
In fact, the motion only proposes a very small part
of IFF, which is common to a lot of other projects
dealing with ontologies (inlcuding ones you mentioned).
The primary point of the joint motion is to develop
a joint standard, which states exactly what it means
for any ontology to conform.
As we agreed, I plan to vote for the SUMO motion,
but as I said all along, the SUMO motion is redundant
(as is the OpenCyc motion) since both of them are
included in the joint motion.
