SUO: Re: Industry takeover
Adam,
I believe that Robert has adequately addressed
your concerns in his response. The proof of his
claims will come when he demonstrates how those
claims are supported in the collaborative effort:
> I like collaboration and cooperation, we've

The point is that you need good mapping facilities,
and IFF promises to provide them. The only thing
that my joint motion asks is that you cooperate
with the IFF project in helping to demonstrate
that the tools they provide work. If they don't
work, you don't have to use them, and they don't
have to be mentioned in any final draft standard.

I suggest that you and Robert get on the phone and
discuss how you plan to cooperate. I would be happy
to incorporate your agreement into the joint motion.
> I agree with the sentiment, but it has to be backed up.
The same can be said about SUMO and OpenCyc. None of
you have backed up your claims. The point of my joint
motion is that you should recognize one another's
existence and take advantage of each other's strengths.
