The best way to get a sense of OpenCyc is *not* to view it through
Protege, which is essentially a frame-and-slot system. It is no wonder
the Cyc predicate structure looks unwieldy from this perspective.
Why not examine the system using the custom-tailored Cyc browser? If you
can't get it to work on a downloaded copy of OpenCyc, there are a bunch of
public OpenCyc servers for this purpose, listed at:
http://www.opencyc.org/public_servers
If you do visit, logging in as "CycAdministrator" rather than "Guest" will
give you more privileges.
