posh.1. elegant or fashionable
posh.1.1. elegant
posh.1.1.1. tasteful
posh.1.2. fashionable
posh.1.2.1. faddish
posh.1.1.1 & posh.1.2.1 => contradiction.
Of course, this is exactly why the logical axiom against contradiction
is hedged to say that nothing can be A and ~A at the same time and in
the same sense of the term "A", which makes it serve principally as
as a device for spliting hairs whenever a new sense is demanded.
But what it means is that a registry of axioms is not an ontology.
At best a dictionary can serve as a stock from which an ontology --
a "knowledge soup"? -- can be cooked by sapient selection.
None of which solves our problem, which is to say what
sorts of selections are tasteful and which are not.
