SUO: Technical Editor for SUMO
John and All,
If the SUMO vote stands, the SUO WG will select a Technical Editor.
I'll call for volunteers and we'll use an appropriate means of selecting an
individual. I don't think there's any great rush, so let's let the rules
issue settle out first.
The real impact of the SUMO vote passing is already being seen.
Members are giving it more attention and starting to work on it (even some
who voted NO). If it had failed, members could have safely ignored it,
since the group would have decided it didn't want to work on it.

Subject: SUO: Impact of SUMO vote
I would like a clarification from anyone as to what the actual impact of the
recent close vote to work on the SUMO will mean, assuming for the moment
that the vote stands.
There was talk at one time of the SUMO being taken over by an officially
appointed editor, and that all changes would be put to votes after that
time. Are we at that milestone now, or if not, what has actually changed as
a result of this vote? What new process are we under now?
Thanks,
John Thompson
