Murray-

You have asked me if I have received a response from Adam, but I haven't received any response and I wouldn't expect one so quickly. My comments, just like others', will be part of the ballot comments. After the ballot comments are published (Jim sends this out to the WG), the ballot comments are then "resolved". Normally, there would be a "ballot resolution meeting" (attempting to refine and extract a list of improvements), but since we don't meet face-to-face, we'll probably resolve them over the E-mail reflector, just like we did in previous ballots. The purpose of the ballot resolution is to get agreement on improvements for incorporation into future drafts of SUMO. The ballot resolution is after the vote; the ballot resolution does not cause a re-vote (or a reconsideration).

This is the normal operation of a standards committee: incremental improvements, many iterations. Like I said previously, IEEE is happy to have a meeting to help us understand more about the standards process.
