Pat,

I was in the middle of answering one of your other notes
when this one came in.  I was writing that I was ignorant
of the exact definition of an "ignoramus", and that I would
have to look it up later in my Webster's or even my Runes',
but that, if I had to guess, I would probably distinguish
between people who are ignorant of one thing or another,
as all of us are, of course, and folks who take pride in
never even trying to consider potentially useful sources
of knowledge, as most thoughtful people I know find Peirce
to be, at the very least.  Thank you for saving me yet another
trip to the dictionary, as you have already given me the perfect
picture of one.  I know it is futile to shoot back at another one
of your drive-by's, but you are not the only one who can purchase
a silencer.
