SUO: SUO Glossary - QuickBase Terms of Service
John,
Thanks very much for your message. Under the heading "no charge universal
access", the plans available for Quickbase are described at:
https://www.quickbase.com/p/cost.stm
My interpretation is that: 1) as long as a subscriber keeps the databases
he/she creates less than 3 mb size, there is no charge and no time period
limit for the "starter" plan. 2) likewise, there is no charge for a
subscriber who does not create a database; 3) though their "terms of
service" says that the subscriber agrees to pay fees, and that Intuit can
change the fee structure with or without notice, I do not expect that Intuit
will impose a fee for the "starter" plan, at least any time in the near
future. I'm willing to take the risk that they might (though only on my own
behalf) because I believe that Intuit is a reasonable company and will not
want to lose the good will of Quickbase users....Also I do not expect that
the SUO Glossary will reach 3MB size... (knock on wood)... I guess if it
does I'll spring for the $14/month to keep it going up to 20MB....
That said, if you or anyone else decides not to accept the terms of service
for Quickbase, then I completely respect your decision. Any person who uses
Quickbase should accept any risks on their own behalf -- I cannot, of
course, be responsible for risks or fees that others might encounter, just
as I cannot guarantee that this experiment with Quickbase won't encounter
unexpected technical problems that might cause a loss of data, etc.
Best Regards,
Phil Jackson
