It does seem intuitive to me that encompassing both process philosophy and
semiotics is on the right track, and I hope that such an accomplishment is
possible.
I would also be interested in your thoughts (as well as those of other
SUO'ers) about Robert C. Moore's paper "Propositional attitudes and
Russellian propositions", which is also reprinted in his book "Logic and
Representation". This presents an extension and "lambdafication" of
Russellian propositions which seems quite interesting and potentially
relevant. However, my recollection is that you've been critical of Bertrand
Russell's approaches, and found them wanting compared to C. S. Peirce... So
I wonder whether Moore's approach is one that you would agree or disagree
with, and why...
Moore's book contains several other interesting papers. One not there, which
I also find very interesting, is apparently his first published paper:
Moore, Robert C. (1976) D-Script: a computational theory of descriptions.
IEEE Transactions on Computers, C-25 (4), pp.366-373. Also available as MIT
AI Lab Memo 278, 1973.
