Re: SOme results from the Heidelberg Meeting

The meeting was not intended to be private, but it had to be kept small
(about 30 people) because of limitations on the size of the rooms.
The proceedings were intended to be published in some form, but there
was a question about publishing a collection of papers or a more unified
consensus. If we had agreed to publish a collection of papers, we
probably could have had something by the end of 1998. But the goal
of publishing a unified consensus was probably unrealistic.

I think that all the topics will require multiple levels of iteration.
Some discussion of methodology is useful at the beginning, but it will
probably be refined and revised as we go along.
